Today development, safety, security, equality, justice and rights have become buzzwords and there are sincere efforts towards achieving them. But, when we see these terminologies from women's perspective, it is clearly evident that they have been left out in the long run. The situation is really grim in Rajasthan, which is mainly a patriarchal and feudalistic society.
Rajsamand Mahila Manch was formed in the year 1998 and in a short span of time it has emerged as a leading mass membership based Women’s People’s Organisation of Rajasthan, India.
Ever since inception, we are organising women and taking collective action to fight discrimination based on class, caste and region; gender-based discrimination; violence against women; etc. This is being done through a number of strategic activities – all targeted at ensuring the women their due in the society.
